The newly acquired 0.89-acre Whispering Willow property was positively transformed to provide passive recreation, habitat improvement, wetland restoration, and a new neighborhood connection to the Town Center. With over two-thirds of Whispering Willow Park comprised by seasonally-flooded wetland and traversed by Lyon Creek, our planning and landscape design focused on balancing recreation and restoration. Site features include a natural play and picnic area, raised boardwalk, parking, edible berry bushes, and diverse native plantings. Along with completing design, environmental, and permitting services, The Watershed Company prepared construction bid documents for the newly designed park and provided construction oversight as the owner’s representative.
