The Watershed Company led the renovation of a pump track facility at a regional park in North Bend. A proactive approach to adjust the site design and restore an adjacent wetland diminished regulatory process while freeing up crucial funds and space for the project’s construction. The result is a larger, more robust facility that attracts regional riders. On any given weekend, myriad riders of all ages converge on the track to build their skills and test their abilities.

Located in the floodplain, the track is designed to balance cut and fill volume—track berms are counterbalanced with voids in the form of integrated raingardens and swales. In addition to beautifying the track, the intermittent planters filter storm-water runoff by capturing sediment and stemming erosion.
