LEXI OCHOA
ISA CERTIFIED ARBORIST
Lexi is a professional arborist with a background in urban forestry, arboriculture, and horticulture. Much of her work focuses on urban tree health and management as well as navigating potential tree impacts due to construction. She assists the arborist team with code review and revisions, tree inventories, tree risk assessments, and report writing. Lexi works with private and public clients in navigating tree regulatory requirements and provides recommendations to help clients’ urban trees thrive. Lexi works cooperatively with teams of planners and scientists on natural resource assessment, research, planning and permitting.
Outside of DCG/Watershed
Lexi can be found digging in her garden, harvesting flowers, pulling weeds, and exploring nurseries (“just one more plant” is her motto). She enjoys exploring the wonderous PNW with her husband and little boy, fishing, and hiking, especially in the autumn when fall colors are abundant. Prior to joining Watershed, she managed and taught at a cooking school in downtown Seattle. She is passionate about our food systems and how we interact with the living world.
