Colin Macdonald

SENIOR RESTORATION BIOLOGIST

Colin has twenty years of experience in the natural resources field working with a wide variety of partners and clients in our region. As a former conservation corps project manager and owner of a business focused on habitat restoration, he brings a very practical understanding of the challenges involved in designing and implementing successful projects to the table. Colin has project management experience on riparian, wetland, steep slope sensitive areas mitigation sites. He has expertise in a variety of ecological restoration and habitat monitoring techniques and also has experience conducting community engagement and advising community stakeholder groups in the advancement of natural resource and open space projects. Colin has an outgoing personality and brings an entrepreneurial attitude to solving client problems.

Outside of DCG/Watershed 

Colin enjoys travelling and spending time outdoors with his family, particularly anything you can do on a boat: sailing, fishing, crabbing and shrimping. He dabbles in both home gardening and wild edible foraging and of late is attempting to restore a classic roadster with his son.
