Landscape designer and ISA-Certified Arborist

Lucas is a passionate landscape designer and arborist with a background in science-based design for schools, parks, trails, and shoreline residences. Fascinated with the interplay between the natural and built environment, Lucas believes every project has unique potential to achieve economic, sustainability, and social success. As a landscape designer, Lucas focuses on the development and documentation of public and private sector projects from schematic design through construction documentation and administration. As a Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) arborist at Watershed, Lucas helps both private and public clients navigate tree regulatory requirements and provides recommendations to help urban trees thrive.

Outside of Watershed                                                                                       When not in the office, Lucas volunteers with the Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (WASLA) as the Chair of the Public Relations and Awareness committee. Most weekends Lucas can be found exploring new Northwest destinations via cycling, rock climbing, and mountaineering. Mt Rainier, Adams, Baker, Hood, St. Helen’s, and Olympus have all welcomed Lucas to their summit.
