Biologists from The Watershed Company provided sensitive areas analysis for a dredge spoils disposal area owned by, and adjacent to, the Port of Tacoma. Work included completing a wetland reconnaissance study and resolving jurisdictional issues at the local, state, and federal levels. Through research and communication with regulatory agencies, The Watershed Company determined that the site did not fall under Department of Ecology or U.S. Army Corps of Engineers jurisdiction, eliminating the need for a lengthy and expensive permitting process.
