The Watershed Company was the prime consultant on a comprehensive greenway plan to improve fish and wildlife habitat along approximately three miles of Tibbetts Creek in Issaquah, while solving flooding problems, providing opportunities for a recreational trail, and enabling future business development. The firm provided preliminary design and coordinated permitting and public agency involvement throughout development of the plan, working closely with the City of Issaquah, King County, Washington State Department of Transportation, Washington State Parks, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Muckleshoot Indian Tribe and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Some $16.5 million of the plan's projects were completed by various agencies between 1995 and 2005, including five new bridges with two crossings of I-90; 1,600 feet of restored stream channel in Lake Sammamish State Park; an in-stream sediment control facility; and stabilization of thousands of yards of coal mine tailings in the Tibbetts ravine.
