The Watershed Company is part of team of consultants assisting the Port of Kennewick with site planning and permitting services for the redevelopment and restoration of Clover Island on the Columbia River, at Kennewick. Since 2002, The Watershed Company has provided oversight to identify environmental and permitting "fatal flaws," particularly ESA-related, in the various development proposals as they emerge from the planning process. Most recently in 2009, The Watershed Company has assisted with the Port’s plans to restore more than 3,000 feet of shoreline along the majority of the island, including preparation of a biological evaluation for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
