Snohomish County Airport Wetland Bank at Narbeck

The Watershed Company designed and managed the first successful mitigation bank in Washington State, created for the expansion of Snohomish County Airport and enabling Boeing to maintain its plant at Everett for the 787 project. Building a public-private partnership, The Watershed Company work included planning, design and construction management for Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary, a $3.5 million, 48-acre wetland and wildlife park that offers visitors recreational opportunities while preserving natural resources. Biologists conducted extensive sensitive areas assessment of the site and planned the project to enhance resources and ensure approval under difficult regulatory requirements.
