Puget Sound Energy Transmission Line Wetland Assessment and Design
Redmond, Washington

The Watershed Company provided wetland mitigation plans, permit support, and construction oversight for a transmission line replacement project in the Novelty Hill area of King County. Nine miles of new transmission lines were constructed with associated impacts in Bear Creek, Evans Creek and the Snoqualmie River basins. The Watershed Company assisted with regulatory processes, including King County Public Agency Utility Exception, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Washington Department of Ecology permits. Construction oversight included monitoring of clearing around wetlands, riparian areas and their buffers to ensure that setbacks were maintained and that mitigation met regulatory requirements.
