Bellevue Spawner Studies
Bellevue, Washington

The Watershed Company fisheries biologists have been performing weekly stream surveys along Kelsey Creek and associated tributaries in the fall and winter since 2002. Final reports detailing species composition, abundance, timing, and general distribution of spawning salmonids are prepared at the end of each survey season. The City of Bellevue uses the findings to spot trends in abundance and habitat use from year to year so that they can better classify fish use areas and prioritize conservation efforts.

This City of Bellevue staff shot this video during one of our survey days on Kelsey Creek.
