Tibbetts Greenway
Issaquah, Washington

The Watershed Company designed a comprehensive plan to improve fish and wildlife habitat, solve flooding problems, and provide recreation and education opportunities along approximately three miles of Tibbetts Creek in Issaquah. The firm worked closely with the City of Issaquah, King County, Washington State Department of Transportation, Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers through design and permit coordination. The $15 million project included replacement of culverts with bridges and a new crossing of Interstate 90. Additionally, The Watershed Company was the final design and construction consultant on a 2,000-foot section of the Greenway, relocating the stream from a flood-prone ditch to a habitat-rich, meandering channel.
