Chism Beach Park Renovation
Bellevue, Washington
The Watershed Company’s landscape architecture team was hired to redesign the lower terrace and waterfront area of this 15-acre beach park. The master plan will include a reinvigorated and reprogrammed sandy beach, play areas, 1200 lineal feet of shoreline restoration, interpretive opportunities, and will seek to incorporate the latest low impact development techniques including rain gardens, green roofs, and green walls. Working closely with Bellevue Parks and Community Development, The Watershed Company has been directed to envision all opportunities for habitat enhancement along the shoreline of Lake Washington while balancing the need for continued use as a public beach.
