Lake Chelan Boat Launch Permitting

Statistics

  • Client: Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission
  • Location: Lake Chelan State Park
  • Dates: 2007-2009

Description

Improvements to an existing boat launch at the popular Lake Chelan State Park required a variety of environmental permits, including a Section 7 Endangered Species Act consultation because of its potential impacts on listed salmonids. State Parks is working with Watershed to improve existing facilities, including reconstruction and repair of an access road, parking area improvements, boat launch improvements, and long-term moorage docks. The Watershed Company prepared applications for local, State and Federal permits, which included coordination with Chelan County, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Department of Ecology.
