Watershed Company staff has provided on-site environmental consulting services for major gas pipeline construction by The Williams Company in Washington State since 2002. Work on more than 350 miles of pipeline has included wetland delineation and characterization, electrofishing and fish relocation, stream and wetland crossing monitoring, and water quality monitoring. Crews of skilled biologists have been mustered quickly to provide services on a round the clock basis at multiple locations during the construction season. Staff biologists with expertise in both fish and wetlands were on site at locations 100 miles and more from our office within hours to insure project quality. By providing these highly responsive and adaptable services, we were able to prevent costly construction delays, protect resources and ensure that State and Federal regulations were met.
