Our client wanted to build an environmentally sensitive but beautiful and modern house on a wooded property on Cougar Mountain but was encumbered by a stream. Our habitat assessment, critical areas study, mitigation plan, and stream designed allowed him to move forward with an award-winning house plan.
Many local jurisdictions require a written assessment of wildlife habitat for actions proposed on private lands. Watershed Company wildlife biologists have completed assessment reports for landowners in numerous jurisdictions. By gathering information from local and State agencies, conferring with area biologists, and conducting on-site evaluations, we’ve helped our clients clear the permitting process with ease and speed. Our assessments have addressed properties on Lake Washington, Lake Sammamish, the Sammamish River, Soos Creek, Cougar Mountain, Olallie State Park, and within many City and County jurisdictions. When mitigation for impacts is required, we’ve designed innovative and effective plans that augment the property and address the needs of the landowner, the jurisdictional entities, and the environment.
