Vice President

Dan Nickel, Environmental Engineer and Principal

Dan’s efforts since joining Watershed in 2001 have focused primarily on enhancing and restoring shoreline conditions, originating from his passion for lake environments. His early work to establish The Watershed Company as a leader in shoreline restoration led to his assisting many local jurisdictions in long-range shoreline planning. As an active advocate for Green Shorelines projects, he strives to help balance the needs of urban and rural development with the enjoyment and protection of shorelines. Dan keeps active year-round with a variety of athletic pursuits, and, come summer, can be spotted hiking to high alpine lakes with a fly rod in hand.
