About The Watershed Company
Since 1982, The Watershed Company has worked with critical areas - including streams, wetlands, shorelines, and wildlife habitat - in the Pacific Northwest. Our landscape architecture department designs beautiful sites that maximize each area's natural potential. Informed by years of hands-on experience, our planning department helps jurisdictions evaluate their natural resources and set effective environmental policies.
The Watershed Company has designed, permitted and overseen construction on over 50 miles of stream rehabilitation and 3,000 feet of lake shoreline. We have enhanced and created over 1,000 acres of wetlands and wetland buffers. Every year we monitor more than 50 active mitigation projects.
Our multidisciplinary staff enables us to see projects through from assessment to mitigation and restoration design to permitting and monitoring. Staff includes wetland, fish and wildlife scientists; engineers; geologists; planners; and landscape architects.
Based in the greater Seattle area, in Kirkland, WA, we provide environmental consulting services to clients throughout Eastern and Western Washington, as well as the greater Pacific Northwest. We have ongoing consulting relationships with a wide range of municipalities, local and State governments, developers and individuals. Our clients range from commercial and residential property owners to tribe, State and local government agencies; a sample list is to the right.
